Dedicated Army National Guard member, firefighter/paramedic announced as leading military-inspired Solderfit fitness franchise’s newest owner-operator.
On this Veteran’s Day, local Hershey resident Jaron ‘Jay’ Eckhart is feeling extra appreciated. Today, Eckhart was recognized as the sole winner of SOLDIERFIT’s Mission: Fit to Own franchise giveaway contest at a Veteran’s Day Charity Breakfast in Frederick, Maryland. Nearly 100 were in attendance to support Eckhart and his new venture of business ownership. Eckhart is in line to be the newest franchise owner-operator of SOLDIERFIT, a military-inspired fitness concept.
Eckhart is a member of the Army National Guard and a firefighter/paramedic in Montgomery County, Maryland. As the winner, he will receive a waiver of the SOLDIERFIT franchise fee, valued at up to $30,000, to open a SOLDIERFIT facility at the location of his choosing in the continental U.S. In addition, he will receive a waiver of all royalties for the first year in business.
The Mission: Fit to Own franchise giveaway is a multi-phase competition that includes meeting SOLDIERFIT’s franchising qualifications, interviews, a Facebook video contest by six preliminary finalists and an interview with SOLDIERFIT’s Co-Founders Danny Farrar and Dave Posin.
The competition is for first-time prospective franchisees – those veterans who do not already franchise a SOLDIERFIT gym. After careful deliberation among hundreds of applicants, Eckhart was selected as the contest winner for his personal story of strength, perseverance, bravery and success.
“Jaron is so deserving of this extraordinary opportunity to win a SOLDIERFIT franchise as he is among the wonderful military veterans who have led a life of service and have given so much for our country,” said Farrar, a military veteran who also serves as president for the nonprofit Platoon 22.
“SOLDIERFIT is a winner, too, because veterans bring discipline, top-notch leadership skills and a determination that is extremely difficult to replicate in any other work space,” Farrar added. “Once U.S. veterans commit to a goal, their duty is not done until that mission is completed. That’s what we are looking for in SOLDIERFIT franchisees.”
