NEWS: SOLDIERFIT Signs First Franchise Agreement

We’re thrilled as a franchise to announce the signing of our inaugural franchisee! Washington, D.C. area resident Harry Santucci, someone who has been an active participant and supporter of the SOLDIERFIT brand, has signed an agreement to develop a SOLDIERFIT franchise in the coming months. We can’t wait for him to start his journey as a SOLDIERFIT franchisee. More details are in the press release below.

July 7, 2015 – FREDERICK, Maryland – SOLDIERFIT, a unique, military-inspired fitness franchise headquartered in Maryland, announces today the signing of a new franchise agreement with Frederick resident and longtime SOLDIERFIT gym member, Harry Santucci.

Santucci will open the first SOLDIERFIT franchise location later this year – site selection is now underway.

SOLDIERFIT works to create a fun and affordable fitness experience for its members – ‘Troops’ – and provides them with access to bootcamps, kid’s fitness classes, personal training and a functional fitness gym to lead healthier, stronger lives.

“I purchased a SOLDIERFIT franchise because the company is in the business of helping people. SOLDIERFIT’s company culture resonates with my personal values,” says Santucci. “This concept gives me the opportunity to fulfill a lifelong dream of becoming a business owner. My goal is to become the ‘go-to’ provider of functional fitness in my area, where individuals can come together to build camaraderie as they focus on reaching personal goals through fitness.”

Prior to becoming a franchise owner, Santucci worked for several years as an accountant in the Washington, D.C. area. Santucci is very involved in his community and has been a long-time volunteer for the Frederick, Maryland SCORE Chapter. He is currently on the board of directors and serves as treasure for 22 Needs A Face, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to combat the number of service member suicides taking place within our nation every day. 22 Needs A Face educates the masses about post-traumatic stress and serves as a support group for transitioning veterans.

The franchise program, developed with the help of Chicago-based iFranchise Group, launched in February and primarily targets the East Coast, with national expansion to follow. Immediate franchise expansion plans call for locations across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, focusing on Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. The company is currently running a contest, Mission: Fit to Own, that will award one U.S. military veteran a grand prize of a waived franchise fee and one year with no royalties.
